I.ve got the Willie Hutch Try It You'll Like it Cd on at this moment I Can Sho Give You Love is playing soon be cranking up the volume because the brilliant Easy Does It is a couple of tracks away , a great Cd from a great artist who spanned the decades and styles. At the time this thread was started, I would have been playing the Embers 'Crazy About You Baby' (as it had come through the post a day or 2 before and has been sitting on the deck since) whilst we finished getting ready to go out and see my lad's band play - shameless plug once again for Dirty Revolution - https://www.myspace.com/dirtyrevolution

Right now, I am listening to Dave Pinch's post of Sonny Til's 'Gave It All Up'. Great post - thanks!

Although this site mainly deals with the rarer side of our music which is great ,at times the readily available stuff goes unmentioned which is a shame what brought this thought on was that i'm having a Philly hour at the moment and playing at the moment is the great Jean Carne and Was That All It Was sublime and a all time classsic.

I am listening to a bizarre cd called "A tribute to Diana Dors vol.1 - British Beat before The Beatles 1955-62".

The only connection to Diana Dors seems to be her picture on the cover.

I've got three volumes of those to get through.

Best of luck with that one Pete.

Yeah I managed it.

Next up,

Joe Meeks Freakbeat

Ska Boogie - Jamaican R&B the birth of ska

5 volumes of Popcorn Party

Decca & Capitol Rockabillies

I downloaded a lot of albums the last few days so thought I'd better see what tracks if any I wanted to keep.

And the reward for most patient listening ears goes to Mr.Smith.
