Keithw Posted January 6, 2012 Share Posted January 6, 2012 (edited) got this off a lad , who bought it @ droylsdon all nighter back in the day early 80s ? looking to sell it but would like to know if anyone else has one/or seen it - its a 10" - in really nice condition tracks are -frank polk - tryin to keep up with the joneses ernie andrews - fine young girl billy preston - the girls got it earl wright - thumb a ride other side chubby / turnpikes - i didnt try patrice holloway - stolen hours checkmates - kissing her and cryin for you enjoyables - push a little harder think the pen was added by the owner at some time any thoughts - offers ???? Pete S Posted January 6, 2012 Share Posted January 6, 2012 Well it looks gorgeous - and authentic - but I don't think it is, what's the chances of having all those classic Northern tracks together on an acetate like that, the release numbers are miles apart, the producers are mostly different. Maybe when Kent reissued these tracks someone assembled an acetate...except they didn't reissue Chubby & Turnpikes did they? A real mystery disc that one. Several of them were very low on the radar when that came out in 78. But they are all Capitol tracks, and it seems like a fair bit of trouble to go to. What's the actual release dates for the individual records? I take it they're all before October 69!
