Picked these up at our local Mechelen record fair. Didn't pay much, also got 2 Dutch Tamla Motown albums.

Belgian - neat feature, you can cut the jukebox title strip out if need be

I really like the dutch Hesitations and Johnny Wyatt. Great finds!

As nice as the euro Motown releases may look, they don't look half as good as some comparatively obscure Northern Soul 45s.

US releases are pretty much impossible to find here, 95% of the stuff at fairs, flea-markets or boot-sales will be Benelux, France and/or German. Of course they almost all come with pic sleeves

here's some more colourful ones from Down under... white demo's from ~Festival are very few, just produced for sound correction purpose, Jimmy Smith on Red Verve, real eye candy... and Bettye Swan in her sleeve looks the business.. Ben E King has loads on Atlantic, but I think this particular track gets over looked, dont remember Kent ever putting it out on the various comps they have done, I maybe wrong but I've not come across it... and novelty 'For the Kids' value on house of Bamboo, but it does look nice as a demo in 'Green'!! Festival

Finally the two Cameo 45's are not mine, I wished they were, dont they look the business..

Guest Leonardo

Ever seen this one before?

It’s an issue copy and apparently was thought not to exist.

The singer on this 45 is evidently Joshie Jo Armstead!

Thanks Chris, Just had another look at the T.S.U and on the sleeve it says distribution Barclay, didn't Barclay release a lot of stuff in France? so it would seem as you say its french.

On the label of the EH it says stemra(i think bad eyesight) does that help you at all? I got them both in a classical music shop in Belgium so i just assumed that's where they are from.

Kel, not many (legitimate) records got made in Belgium. Most were made in the surrounding countries. I do have some, mainly Motown, the best being this one.

Yes

Not sure that's a Belgian issue, it doesn't have the Belgian SABAM box but the European BIEM. Country of manufacture also not shown. Tough to say, as I said Belgium is a small country and didn't have much of a youth culture in the 70s, outside of the Popcorn scene so no real demand.

                                                                     Belgian for sure.

The TSU Tornadoes is actually French, you can see that from the BIEM licence stamp. Belgian singles have the same sort of stamp but it reads SABAM. The Philps one doesn't look like a Belgian, maybe Dutch, the scan is not clear enough.

This TSU Toronadoes is Belgium (BE 650131..."BE" means belgium I think)...& BIEM licence stamps also exists on belgium labels & records (with SABAM)...the sleeves & labels on French pressings are slightly differents (papers & printings)
