Another underplayed tune from me this morning. I 1st heaqrd it while browsing youtube, and thought "I've got to get one of those!!" Luckily, a quick trawl of some internet record sales sites turned one up for the price of a few packets of cigs!

Nice funky cheapie from me this morning. Always remember having a copy of this floating around back in the day, always in a tatty paper sleeve, or from the bottom of a 'soul pack',tried playing it a few times back then, but no one liked it!

Think there's a few venues it would go down a storm now.... oh how tastes change!

I'm Alive!!!!!!

Well that's a bit of a lie really as I still feel as if I've done 15 rounds with Ali.This was my 12th Cleethorpes Weekender & they take longer & longer to get over each year...........the thing is I'll be doing it all again this weekend at Brid.So not caught up with the posts since I've been away (not been able to stay awake long enough yet) but I will.

So thought I'd pick something a little on the smooth side today as I can't cope without anything to hectic today :D

I love the above -- the Eddie Holloway track.

It has quite a 'Tyrone Davis' feel to it even though it came out (mid 70's ?) after Tyrone's golden period.

Eddie must have been about on the Miami soul scene for some years (about 10 to 12 at least) as I have info on him performing back in the mid 60's.

Also have a club ad from 1968 when he played the Continental Club (the place where Sam & Dave had first performed together back in 1960) in conjunction with local Sharon Robinson and Detroit's the Professionals ....

... I'll post a copy of the ad in the 'Miami Soul Shows' thread.

She had a couple of minor things in the Billboard chart during the 60s, but most people know her for her 70s & 80s disco type releases.

Do you have a copy of the excellent Mecca track DC Larue - Cathedrals on Pyramid? It has "day by day" by Pat Lundy on the other side
