Premium Stuff
Recently picked this up. A copy of the Perma-Hit release in a sleeve with (presumably) original period scribble which says: "Vanessa Henley, leader of the Sharp-ette's [mis-spelling according to group name on label]. Henry Smith Jr. is the manager. 8981911." Andy Rix
Henry Smith co-wrote 'Just say you're wanted and needed' for Gwen Owens. I bet he can be found with some time and effort Andy 1 Link to comment Social source share
Robbk
I suspect that they were a local Detroit group. I never heard anything about their names, or if they appeared in any of the Detroit venues back in the mid '60s. Link to comment Social source share
Premium Stuff
Thanks guys I love the label name Perma-Hit - reminds me of Perma-Frost - but a great concept - a permanent hit ... Keep Looking (But I Guess I'll Never Find Him) is a totally charming girl group record. Shame not more is known about the group - nevertheless, thanks for the info folks Cheers Richard Edited August 30, 2012 by Premium Stuff Link to comment Social source share
