Let people wear what they want, its what makes this scene! I do not wear circle skirts myself but think the Girls look good. Do we comment on you overweight men in your jeans that don't fit properly and the arse of the jeans hanging down.Don't pass comment on unless you are perfect yourself ........

Katrina , I like you am not bothered what people wear . It is why they wear it that niggles a bit . Nothing really changes doe's it .Back in the day you who have been lambasted for NOT wearing the gear.

are the circle skirts and baggies that get worn today in reflection to a certain time or a certain place ie- Wigan Casino ?? i know i wasnt around back in the days i was still in short trousers at infant school but i am aware that Wigan closed in 81 and also that about that time the fashion on the street wasnt flares and circle skirts so what year or years are these clothes associated with ? was this style of clothing still being worn at soul venues like Wigan Casino in the early 80s ?

,i know kids who were older than me went in a gang,everyone else they met on the train wore similar gear,but they were kind of doing something which wasnt the norm, when i went there were people in huge baggy sweatshirts or jumpers, peg jeans and plastic sandals , pringle teeshirts and jumpers meant potentially lees hassle getting up from wallgate to station road.I thought some people looked the part by dressing apart from others The musiic gave you something uniquely yours , i always looked a bited there square and untrendy ( nowts ******* changed ), but i felt like i belonged, every time i left keighley on the train, hitchhiking and arguing like f*ck wi andy reynard, or getting a taxi so our lad could get furhter than the train station without getting busted.I didnt need a uniform to show my colours, i went out every ******* week, and travelled to scotland and derby , sheffield snaith, manchester ritz, i was anything but normal , Again no change! You were what you like, what people compliment you on , what you feel smart in, But , a string vest? and trousers that have ******* tartan or gingham on the pockets,why not just wear a pair of tartan trousers, or a dog tooth or prince of wales check.The youngster who put tartan on their pockets or down the side of their trousers wore tartan scarves on their wrists ,( and got banned from wembley for four years too. but even then the ones who wanted to dress the part , were the ones getting a hiding.
