SHOT 109

NEW RELEASE INFORMATION

Selrec announce the release of a single by legendary soul and jazz singer GLORIA LYNNE on Shotgun Records:

GLORIA LYNNE

I've Just Gotta Tell Somebody / I'm So In Love

Shotgun Records

SHOT 109

Release date: 14 May 2012

Distribution: SELREC

Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Frank Clark and arranger Art Freeman, these tracks were featured on Gloria's acclalimed album Happy And In Love which was issued on Wally Roker's Canyon label in 1970.

Canyon Records didn't release 'I've Just Gotta Tell Somebody' as a single and the song was covered by Betty Everett for Fantasy Records. It's now hoped that Gloria's version will receive some belated attention.

The Shotgun catalogue includes singles by Debbie Taylor, Don Varner, Rhetta Hughes, Sandra Wright, Eddie Floyd, Sam Dees, Sir Ted Ford, Rozetta Johnson and David Sea.
