Unissued in the USA - UK Pye gave this 45 life in 1965 as a B-side, and ultimately selling virtually nothing on release.

Those 60s Soul Pioneers turned market stall foragers, junk shop rummages, cut out bin flickers; playing both sides of anything and everything just hoping for a "sound" that could be the next "Soul Dance" discovery.

This example is of course the very pinnacle of those teenage adrenaline fueled searches.

In 2012 to encounter a copy in flawless totally unblemished condition is truly remarkable - act accordingly.

Released in 1997 on Exploding Plastic records, this highly collectible white label is rarely seen for sale as collectors keep it under lock & key. Rumour has it that eventual releases were all sold on a London market stall when the label went under.

Very RARE 1966 original first press UK Philips # BF1786

By early 1967 this disc was the most-wanted of all UK soul release 45s. Being released and deleted almost simultaneously. Leaving only the lucky few with a copy, quickly making it's way into the hands of all-nite club DJ's to rise up into a Twisted Wheel, Mojo, Nite Owl MONSTER!

After all this is total 60s Soul dance music of the most vibrant kind, with demand rising to fever pitch, in 1969 Philips re-issued this classic on #BF1786 note this release # was kept the same throughout the 70s & 80s as Phonogram continually re-issued.

All old-school British Soul vinyl gathers will testify that the 1966 BF1483 it is one very rare and historic 45 - in flawless condition, so tough to acquire.

I'm just reaching that stage of my life, where I'm finding my car keys in the fridge and a slab of butter in my coat pocket!

But I'll never forget the Saturday afternoon when the Melton Mowbray &Stamford crew set off for the Blackpool Mecca in the comfort of a mattress laden Transit Van!

Butch the driver had just received a sales cassette tape from Simon Soussan full of new discoveries! Lou Ragland was my instant favourite, quickly replaced by The Steinways but by the 5 hour mark Major Harris was the King of the C90.

As if it was yesterday that haunting electric guitar intro, Major effortless vocal purring those simplistic lyrics... today it still has the same effect.

Shiver inducing Northern Soul, in an irresistible format, pressed in durable heavy duty vinyl; as opposed to styrene. Gorgeous isn't it, but not as gorgeous as the memories it has left me and so many others members of the early 70s vest-brigade.

Now, where did I put that Betamax remote control....?
