Guest Netspeaky
I wonder what Mr Gordy would have thought of these following tunes if he had heard them when they were released. Barbara Lee - My, My Sweet Love (EDCO) Well Mary Wells did have a hit so why couldn't Barbara. The Vandelettes - He's All Mine (Mellow Town) I guess the writers had been listening to "My Girl" Link to comment Social source share

Soulsmith
Barbara Lee - Think Morecambe & Wise "Give Me Sunshine" circa '79 Vandalettes - Really like it in a weird way too. Plus its just the sort of record Chalky will probably hate, so that makes it more enjoyable. Col Edited December 29, 2005 by Soulsmith Link to comment Social source share

Guest Netspeaky
vandelettes is weird and has got me somewhat hooked, info please Chalky these are both on my current DJ playlist, just thought I list the flips first for interest factor. Vandelettes - Love of Mine (Mellow Town - Texas Recording) Barbara Lee - Show Me Love (EDCO - Los Angeles Recording) Been playing Vandelettes for a while, goes down a monster for me at Amlwch niter and other Monkey Do's, just started spinning the Barbara Lee.
