Guest
With all the my gigs bigger than yours going on, can I offer a tip to all list members who don't mind travelling to the East Mids. Thr Royal Regency has a CRACKING CONNOISSEURS room with Mick H, Rob Thomas and John Poole. Colin Curtis is packing em in the Modern room. And with a Northern Oldies room and Motown/Club Soul, you'll find this 4 roomer highly entertaining. Its a last Friday of the month thingy. Link to comment
Dickytwang
Is this an all nighter ? Link to comment
Gene-R
It wasn't my "gig" that I said was bigger than yours...........!! Link to comment
Guest in town Mikey
Dont think anyone was telling her they had bigger things Geno. I just questioned the big one she was talking about. Aparently my little one on Oxford Street doesnt touch the sides, so to speak. And saying that big isnt necesarily better has rattled a few people. Seems all my girlfriends have been telling me porkies :-( Link to comment
Gene-R
True Mikey. It ain't what you got.........it's how you lie about it!!! :-) Link to comment
Guest
Is this an all nighter ? No, it's a soul-night run by Lord Voldermort in Ilkeston. The 'connoiseurs' - I hate all this genrifying bollocks - room was top notch sound-wise the time I went, but it was largely empty. The main room just scared me to death!! cheers Scotty Link to comment
John May
The Main Room does sound a little scary..... what happens in there ? Link to comment
Guest
It is a 'east midlands goodie' for the following reasons; 1. Rob Thomas fills in for Mick H this Friday-Connoisseurs room(24th) 2. If you get tired of the Modern room(and Colin Curtis has got em going in there) and Northern Oldies room, THERE'S A MASSIVE AMOUNT OF SINGLE TOTTY in the Motown/60's club room. And for that reason alone...ILL BE THERE! (The Gems, Jackson 5..ANY OTHERS?) ps dead easy to get to, about 15 mins from Jnc 26 of the M1. Look out for me talking to the big chests. Link to comment
