Recommended Posts

Hi

Thanks to the Hitsville Soul Club - Record Review. For this one

Dee Dee Warwick - Don't You Ever Give Up On Me

I can't believe that I have only just heard this record in the last few months.

I have been collecting for years, and yet this one escaped my attention, UNTIL NOW!

It wasn't easy but I found a eventually found a copy.

Me too Dan

Perhaps we should start the Senile Dementure Soul Club

What?

Banana

top sound: Al Zeimers and the Forget-me-nots 'Where did I put my specs, baby?' on Great Smell Of Piss (a little local label out of Virginia)

The thing is that even on Manships site the sound sample was for "We've got everything going for us" which is on the other side.

I like Dee Dee Warwick and have started to collect her records. When I went searching the Net for this one it just didn't appear on lists.

I eventually found 2 copies, both in Europe - 1 demo & 1 issue.

I bought the DEMO, the price didn't suggest that it was particulally Rare.

As we said. Happens all the time.

I posted on here about the Harry Deal track on The DVD that Little Stevie is in.

Paul McKay said he'd played its loads of times at do's I was at. I was certain it was the first time I'd heard it.

agree i've got quite a few bit by her, all cheap, all things you've never really heard of (me that is) but are easily available.

as mike says, half the things i buy i've probably heard before but just don't remember :P . it's great, this memory loss...every day i find a great load of 60s newies in my boxes

came out via parkway and goodtime recs

two absolute up tempo tracks that scream NORTHERN!

this ones South African

makes one wonder what suedo black recs are doing

being released into aparthied situations.

wonder if there's more on South African,

besides Black London copies of Darrel Banks-open the door/our love

I've got that on album, as far as 60s tracks go (I don't like many) I'll happily admit to loving that one, a quality tune.
