One I opened this morning from my dearest one (well she is when she buys thing like this for me),she's been taking note on the quiet.Thought it was LP only until recently,never came out on 45 over here mine a Dutch Tamla copy in a great picture sleeve.

Memory rush when I hear tunes like this from the Impressions as one of my older brothers was a big fan & tunes like this were always been played in our bedroom,without knowing it those days were the start of my soul education & have stayed with me forever :thumbsup:

Was in touch with James Gadson 20+ years ago.

Did an interview with him; he'd done just about everything in the music / recording biz and had played on tracks with just about everybody.

He had some fascinating stories to tell but was still quite bitter about his time with Watts 103rd St Band (coz Charles Wright had taken much credit for things that James had actually come up with). After quitting 103rd St he recorded with (& went on the road with) Bill Withers (if I'm remembering correctly).

Also worked on 100's of 70's (LA cut) Motown tracks & then worked a lot (later on) with Womack.

Wrote an article on him but that was pre-computer days & I doubt I still have access to it.

Starting to go a bit stir crazy now..........sat having to watch Hollyoaks as they've all ganged up on me,thank god I'm out for a pint or seven tomorrow afternoon with one my old Wigan mate I've not seen in ages.Will be fun letting him know what what's going on on the scene,might even be able to get him to come & play out in the new year? So I'm going to brake all the rules & post again.........it's about as far as I get to been a rebel these days :lol:
