Citizen P Posted September 22, 2004 Share Posted September 22, 2004 Not really on the subject of House but a refernce to the programme on either BBC 2 or Channel 4 a coupla years back "The Story Of House" charting the rise from the early days in Chicago through to current day. Amazingly similar to our rare soul scene with Cover Ups exclusives etc. Any road up the point of this is at one point there was a pair of lads that came up with tune in their bedroom or something( memories fade with age and chemical abuse)which went massive,they decided that a 12inch was in order and duly went to their local pressing plant to get a few thou knocked up. However the quality of the vinyl was crap--why?? Because the guy that owned the plant decided that he could earn a few extra bucks by not using Virgin Vinyl, instead he ground up and recycled a few thousand 7"singles out of his basement. In Chicago? Oh Mama! Does this ring any bells out there? I mean, they could have been all crap--but then again...... Cheers Tony Link to comment Social source share More sharing options...
