Thought i'd tell you about a really cool lable that's being launched under the same umberalla as the Vox Pop records shop in Manchester. It's a totally legit funk-soul re-issues label and the guys have actually tracked down the original artists and are working with them. Each release will be on 7". The first release will be 'Alcohol', a track by Robert Jay and is out 25th October! Robert is from Detroit and originally recorded and pressed his own copies of the track - totally independently, whilst the big wigs at Motown were cashing in on the big artists!
