I am trying to obtain an original copy of They're talking about me on Elbejay. I know it's been booted several times so how do I identify the original for certain? I know there is a matrix mark with 3 W's, but where should it be? Also, are the W's "stamped" or scratched, - and is each edge of the letters straight, or curved as in written by hand. If anyone can help I'd be delighted.

While Mr Manships book is certainly helpful, I fear it doesn't list every little detail for fear of informing the bootleggers as well.

they are 'scratched' asnd curved - in fact they look more like '3's. they are written arround each other - so if you look straight on - it looks like a '3' next to an 'm' with a 'w' on top of the 'm'.

the original label is olive green. the boots are green and pale green, I think.

If you hold the record in the DEADWAX Scratched is "001A"

If you hold this with "001A" @ 6' O'Clock

@ 3 O'clock between the run off tracks there is a mark scratched like this

I am in the process of scanning stuff, matrix etc, and I haven't got around to this one yet,

but I think you should now have an Idea what you are looking for.

The Mark is scratched on both sides of the record.

Also The Original did come in a Picture cover if you can find one.
