Gogger

The lyrics to this make it one of the best civil rights records I've ever heard. My wife loves it (as I do) & when I play it at home she always says the words make her feel really sad............just shows the effect our music has.

Great night at Bradford last night, one of my best night's of the year.Great mix of music, great atmosphere & I love the little slightly rough round the edges venue (before anyone says it Yes it would be posh in Hull :D).If you like a night with imagination (mainly 60t's but not always) & dj's with no egos just wanting play stuff they love, you need to give it a try.

So today's offering is a tune I love today as much as I did when I first heard it in the early 90t's.Not heard it out for so long I thought it was time it had another runout & it rammed the floor like it always used to.

Ketty Lester- Some Things Are Better Left Unsaid RCA

It's a great night although I haven't been for a while, hats of to Mr Harris for putting this on,no top 200 played there..Although It's mainly sixties I did sneak an eighties track on once...

My mate Kev Smith was on playing 70t's & 80t's on Saturday & it went down really well,he opened with Eugene Gaspard & Billy Hawks was amongst his plays but I'm waiting for his playlist as I didn't know a lot by name.I managed a few Latin plays & one or two funkier things that also filled the floor but as you say it in the main is a 60t's "do".

If anyone's interested at what's played at Bradford some of the playlists are here.........

Cheers

Without getting too deep & totally off topic (sorry Dave) that's why people should be fined for not voting as there's millions who would love that privilege.I'll stop there or I could here awhile

This statement to me begs the question does your wife like this song more than you do Martyn (think not) could be a bit of double bluffing going on here of which I have tried on many occasions with my wife to do to no avail eating baked beans for a week coz ive spent the housekeeping on a tune

May have a little to do with that:-)) nice tune!!!
