Any Rnb Junkies Out There

Just a thought.

I don't know much about RnB tracks at all,but.... if you had to play three uptempo RnB tracks that would get the dance floor shaking what would they be?  Doesn't matter about price or rarity, just to get people off their butts on to the dance floor.

Anyway, we'll have to agree to disagree about Ray Agee being R&B (although I'd like to hear your definition of R&B on another thread maybe)...

So here's three from me in an attempt to get the thread back on track:

Zu Zu Blues Band - Zu Zu Man - A&M

John & Carol - Get Your Hat - Botone

Little Joe Hinton - Lets Start A Romance

Has anyone ever woke up one morning and said "I'm going to record a Northern Soul track"?

Yet there are thousands of Northern Soul tracks.

Or are they no longer Northern Soul tracks, they are in fact "R & B" tracks and for the last 45 years we haven't had a clue what we've been listening to?  We called it by the wrong name, this cult that played special music that was different to everything else...all the time it was simply

R & B

Surely northern soul is an umbrella term to house different styles of black music with in a scene? Soul and Rnb being the most prolific. IMO the tracks mentioned thus far are Rnb and not soul.

So I think your absolutely correct
