15 Across The Board 45's/ 25-300 Euro /very Rare/ Third Wish/quixotics/

Recommended Posts

M is ONLY for reissues / new releases / sealed records

M- is a pretty much perfect record for me — any obvious signs that a record has been played I usually downgrade to an EX.

EX is a very strong grade for me — just showing some signs of being played but no noise / cue burn / crackle / styrene burn.

VG+ is for records that have obviously seen some wear and have had a good few plays and may even have light intro crackle but play very, very well.

VG is for records with quite a bit of wear and surface markings and some noise / crackle but still a very good player

VG- is my lowest grade and VG- records for me are in bad shape — lots of sound quality deterioration and many, many surface marks — not nice.

400 YEARS OF WHAT "žGet down people“ (Counterpart)

Super rare Cincinnati, Ohio deep dancefloor funk. Everyone in the band gets a break, including the drummer! Flipside is amazing as well. This was a huge Ian Wright spin a few years back.
M-, REDUCED, now, 300 Euro

Listen here:

JOHNNY MORISETTE - "I'm Hungry" - (J&J)

Rare deep Funk anthem from back in the days still sounds massive today! Nuff said

M-, REDUCED, now 300 Euro

CHRISTIAN HARMONIZERS “The Rain” (Hummingbird)

Don't have a clue what it's worth but it seems to be VERY rare. Zero hits with google for this record, even Belson "žthe Gospel expert“ didn’t know it. A Side is deep soul whereas the flip is uptempo soul rnb with strong gospel influences und good drums.

Ex, Offers over 50 Euro

QUIXOTICS "žReach out“ (Blackman)

VERY rare northern/modern soul with a great voice. Was considered to be on a one-off acetate only until some time ago a few copies surfaced. . Pressed very slightly off-centre like ALL other copies I’ve run into. Listen here:
Vg+, REDUCED, now 175 Euro

THIRD WISH “You gotta believe/ Inst.” (LeCam)Hard for me to let this go...What a tune, heavily played by Mr. Marc Forrest a few years back. VERY RARE Northern Soul with a funky latin twist made for the dancefloor! Total killer and still quite unknown!
M-, REDUCED, now 300 Euro

THE FABULOUS SOULS "Baby I've got it" (Audio Art)
Deep Funk Classic, what a baseline! Rare promo copy.
Vg+, plays great! REDUCED, now 70 Euro

MARC DE NOEL “Ain’t no good” (Magnum wlp)

Former Michael ‘PoMonkey’ Robinson c/u and a VERY rare, semi-known, Psyche, Funky-Boogaloo jam with heavy drums outta the SF Bay Area. Also a Fine Wine spin — few scuffs here and there and labels are a bit rubbed but purely cosmetic — WD copy here too — crazy, FX’d vox on this — totally unique

Ex, 50 Euro

GEORGE PERKINS “I’m so glad you’re mine” ( Royal Shield)

Such a classy record. Crossover soul at its best for a nice price. So brillant soulful vocals and great drums/percussion, too…looks rough but plays very well for djing with it.
Vg plays fine, REDUCED, now 25 Euro

THE BLOODY TRUTH - Baby I love You/ We Won't leave it undone (YAS)

Rare Ohio Funky Soul with snappy drums / breaks and great horns…….! Flip is also very enjoyable Sister Funk with a boogaloo twist! Still totally under the radar — few scuffs — great copy…so, so rare….TOP DOUBLESIDER, totally recommended!

Looks Vg, plays much better, 40 Euro

FREEDOM - "Can't you see/ Sunshine" (Freedom)

Beautiful  rare Modern Soul mover with a tight groove. Other side ain't so shabby too!

M-, 100 Euro, NOW 80 EURO

COLD FIRE INC - "Get it together" (Lightning)

Great rare 70s funk 45 from Houston, Texas. Cold Fire was members of the Kashmere Stage Band that continued to perform after finishing high school. They recorded "Get It Together" for Bubbha Thomas' Lightin label and it was produced by Kashmere Band Director Conrad Johnson.

M-, 100 Euro, NOW 80 EURO

SOUL BROS INC - Long dark night for prejudice (S.B.I)

What a Soul tune and so underrated. In the same vain as Kenny Rankin's "In the name of love". This is a spare copy otherwise wouldn't sell it!

M- €50,-

NAPPY BROWN - Coal Miner/ Hoonie Boonie - (Savoy)

Killer doublesider. Sexy midtempo RnB, reissued on Jukebox Jam (Jazzman) a while ago without the original flip, though. So here you have two top rnb tunes for the price of one.

M-, €80,-

MARY JOHNSON - Goin' Home - (Foxy)

Rare  R&B with powerful vocals. Her other adorable track besides "These Tears" on Foxy

Vg plays better, €40,-

MARCUS DANIEL -  Drill For Your Love - (Monkey Town)

VERY rare and quite unknown so far. Very, very deep soulful Funk tune that has all of the ingredients to go absolutely massive as soon as somebody gets behind it — totally and absolutely obscure black music. Craig Moerer has a VG copy for 90USD.

Vg+, plays great 60 Euro
