Sorry youre wrong it wasn't steve Davis

Andy Whitmore had it long before rod dearlove etc. and was playing it out - he got it from Butch for £40

Spot on Jim I reckon,

......and he played it out first time at Shotts as mentioned in front page article. Or certainly first niter spin.

ame="dave pinch" post="1970530" timestamp="1375433282 refosoul That's who I was referring to dave TFK on here is Andy Whitmore

He put me onto it at the time, And I had the chance of one at the time, but didnt want to pay the £100 asking price

As I say, nice record, but at the time I was buying 10 great unknowns at £10 each!!!!

I played this at Shotts once too..Can't for the life of me remember who I sold mine to?

Bloody hell, fuzzj, now you're asking........

I would say late '89, early '90

Andy may be able to confirm???

I always thought it was a Soul Sam discovery, I expect a few of 'the guys' were playing it around that time though. I remember Sam playing it at The Embankment Club around 92 / 93 time, so he may have picked up on it shortly after it was first 'aired'.

Whatever - It's a great record, which very much suits Soul Sam (Great taste)

All the best,

Len
