Pete S Posted July 30, 2013 Share Posted July 30, 2013 This is a phenomenal quality recording of the 7th anniversary (taped by an old friend Rich Simner) and the highlight is undoubtedly a sensational spot from Richard Searling, playing many of his then cover ups and top sounds. Although the sound quality is fantastic, you can also hear the clapping, so good stuff all round. This track listing may not be exactly right as I know I cut out a few of the Modern sounds when I originally edited the tape, I've not listened to it before posting it. I know you'll enjoy this one, it's definitely one of the best I've got. See how many of those cover up names you can make out, I've listed all of them uncovered except for Chris Bartley as I don't think the real artist was ever uncovered was it? The tape was labelled 1979 but it's definitely 1980. Thanks to the original taper whoever it was. I used to have lots of tapes from my old ITT candle-powered tape recorder but they get lost and taped over down the years. The brother-in-law found one of my old C120s a few years back and settled down for a good old reminisce, stuck on the headphones to hear his youngest son twanging away on his guitar for 2 hours.
