Don't mess about, get a copy of the 25 Miles LP.

Still great after all these years.

I recently picked up a second mint copy of this tune for a couple of quid,

with a view to selling it on, having paid about £15 for mine at Stoke , 10 years ago.

I genuinely thought that it must have added value over the years.

I think the Dutch Copies have their version of Don't Send Nobody else on the other side.

Ashford and Simpson penned, The Dynamic Superiors "One Nighter",

too shrill for some no doubt, quality in my book.

The You Tube post is different from my 45?Is it the LP cut?Not a massive difference but enough to notice,on first play I thought it was one of these re-mix versions that are kicking about?Any info boys please.

Can't help with than one as I only have the LP and the Kent excellent "Say You" CD, which are both stereo.

There'll no doubt be a discog on the Kent CD, unfortunately its packed away.

Wouldn't be surprised though, if you're correct Martyn.

Havin a bit of a reminisce and trying to keep to the 'last 40 years' theme today, so here's a record I had to play while going through the old box from the loft again last night, it really does scream 'this is what northern soul used to be!' It sounds soooooo good LOUD, even now, and although it's classed as a somewhat overplayed oldie, I can't remember hearing it out for a bloody long time - and that includes quite a few Goldsoul do's too! - The fantastic.....

Very underrated as an artist on the Northern Scene, has he ever appeared live singing a northern set.

A bit of a quick stepper for Stafford, Martyn.

Great tune, way out of my price range though.

Was wondering if it was one of those famous Pat Brady cover ups?

Been told it was a Keb play(Paul....sorry just seen your comment ),took me awhile to track one down at a good price so never say never

Love Joe's voice & this is more up-tempo then most of his stuff but equally good.Someone once said his voice sounds like liquid chocolate which I thought was a perfect description of his voice?

Since there's another thread on this tune and I picked up a cheap copy earlier this year,

I thought it worth a post, to remind myself what a decent copy sounds like.

Didn't realise it was rare though, as I got it for the reserve price of $10.

Hi Martyn

Not sure when it was first played - doh! However, I don't think its ever been a huge play has it? One of those that needs someone to really give it a go.

I only started buying stuff again recently and thought I'd stick to mainly 70s and crossover type stuff - yet I've bought quite a lot of 60's along the way.

Cheers

We had a great time at Go Go Children, the night had everything, great venue, great music, great atmosphere & a crowd who were willing to listen & dance to something a bit different. If you like a night that's not run of the mill I'd put this on your "to do" list & I'll bet you won't be disappointed

Bought this little cheapie last night & it'll be going straight in the playbox for a spin at Empty Bottles on Friday..........

When I moved to Wolverhampton 30 years ago, I met a bloke who was the events organiser of the WOW (West Park Open Weekend) after some discussion, he told me that he would give me £20 for this record,

I only got round to replacing it 4 weeks ago. why? why did I go all that time, here you can be the judge.

Hi

First 3/4 of the tune is great but then runs out of steam & becomes a bit repetitive imo, suppose you could fade the end bit out if djing with it?

2 on evil bay but on gold Contempo?
