thomas96
Or does anyone know who bought it? John Manships Auction Results 20-3-2013 Marvelettes One Kiss Led To Another Motown and girl group collectors this 10” studio acetate is a one-of-a-kind unissued Motown session by one of the label’s most-loved groups. master # DM 042105 never reached vinyl most likely recorded circa 1963 Not the Coasters song from 1956 but strong new Marv Johnson composition showcasing a soulful young-girl Motown stroller with Gladys Horton’s lovelorn vocal leading proceedings. With the Funk Brothers adding depth - possibly Marvin Gaye & Benny Benjamin on Drums, certainly James Jamerson on his instantly recognizable Bass Guitar, Richard “Popcorn” Wylie on Piano, Eddie “Bongo” Brown providing subtle bongo rhythm and a rather classy under-stated baritone sax pumping away with timely prompts could well be Mike Terry. The harmony background vocals from we presume Wanda Young, Georgeanna Tillman, Wyanetta (“Juanita”) Cowart & Katherine Anderson bring together a beautifully constructed Hitsville session - that for whatever reason this stunning array of talent failed to get a release. Before you today is the actual acetate from the session a genuine MOTOWN STUDIO cut crediting the session with H-467 mix dub # 1428 Remember this is UNIQUE not another copy known to exist! Sorry, this item has already been won! The winning bid was £ 88.00 If so, could you please message me or reply to this thread. Thanks. Link to comment Social source share
