Hi. First of all, I want to announce the passing of Billy Brown, the super talented leader of the group Shades of Brown, from Altgeld Gardens on the South Side of Chicago. Although he never achieved the success of many other singers and groups, he was always making music and sounded great even in his apartment just playing the piano and singing along. You can listen to the interview I did with Billy on my interviews page.

 

Today I just did another really excellent radio show, a full 90 minutes of music. I started off the show with some early 60s R&B and some girl groups and then played lots and lots of sweet soul. Check it out at:
