My type 70t's,both great dancers   :g:

Ira is new to me & I could see the more up-front northern night's really getting into this.Might have a trawl for one of these, maybe my first purchase of 2014.............Dave's thread strikes again

Cheers

Martyn

You should get an Ira Glover, Martyn! Great track, still wildly underplayed, and not that well known by a lot of people either. Would have thought £30 ish should get you one these days.

Choice day today from me,two great versions of the same song?

First the version I remember from Wigan by one the scenes fave ladies.

Second is a more raw version but for me just the better of the two?

Anyone know what year Maxine was recorded please as BM was recorded in1964 & would have thought before Maxine's outing????

Maxine Brown-Yesterday's Kisses Wand

Big Maybelle-Yesterday's Kisses Scepter

This is from 2011 but already hard to get hold of a copy  Spanish i think Lontano records  the Vibe Creators I don't wanna be lonely

https://youtu.be/pRqkBiYBDeA

That's not too shabby is it. The vocals are better than some of the stuff in the break in the middle. :D Yep, that dinky donky stuff nearly ruins it. Shame that.

Don't remember this at all Kev. :g:

Nice pick. That "never, never" backing vocals reminded me a bit of the backing in Charles Johnson.
