Lovely piece of 1981 detroit soul (sounds earlier) nice mid tempo withgentle uplifting lyrics. Really nice.

Lee Charles — I Never Want To Lose My Sweet Thing / Girl You Turned Your Back On My Love (Bamboo) £12 SOLD!!!

Chicago legend. ‘Sweet Thing’ still sounds fresh. Flip finds Lee in more melancholy mood with a great soulful performance. What a fine singer. Who’s who of Chicago soul on writing/production credits.

Did this man ever make a bad record? Me thinks not. Sounds a million dollars to these ears. Like the Ruffin cut above — this guy means it. Mellow soulful Phillip Mitchell penned flip. Great 45.

Jeepers! GREAT 80s southern soul cut from one of the legends. Typical (brilliant!) malaco production with McKinley just oozing n dripping soul.. knocked out by this upon spinning again. Flip is slow n moody soulful n bluesy. Knockout.
