"Sweet Soul Music - Peter Guaralnick "

is this any good? i've got a copy sitting right here but haven't had time to pick it up this week.

it's all about 'southern soul not motown' (the first page says).

Have also got 'Casino' by Dave Shaw here, which is an amazing read - not that i ever went (too young) but i seems to give a real feel of what it was like back in the days of Wigan. Might write a review one day.

yes it's a good read, its about southern soul as it says, presuming ones interest lies not just in records played at all nighters in the uk thumbsup.gif:lol::lol:
