Rafa Soul Club Newton Aycliffe 1St March 2014

Saturday night been and gone and another good night at the Rafa Club Aycliffe. Without the dedication of the dj’s and the support from the soul fans it wouldn’t happen so thanks to all of you.

It was good to see some returning faces, namely the Peterlee crowd, thanks for the support Dave, Pauline, Gibby and friend etc.

There was quite a few new faces in the club but unfortunately I didn’t get to chat so I don’t know where you’re all from, again thanks for the support.

So the all important playlists for those that like that kind of thing–here goes - salivate away...........


Starting with the bargain basement early set with Paul Shoulder and Kev Cowey, messing around until the main dj’s arrived.

That’s it for another month folks–next one is on the 29th March and no soul night at the Rafa in April so after 29/03/2014 it ‘s on the 3rd May 2014 with dj's to be announced.

29 h March sees, Dave Eyley as main guest dj and Nev Griffiths from Darlington plus support from Ian Shoulder if he’s not getting his passport stamped in some god forsaken place on the planet.

Nice to visit the Rafa again after many years. It was like being back at York Rare Soul Club for the music, great playlists from all on the decks.

Won't be able to make the next night at end of the month due to our venue night but will gladly return for the first Saturday of the month.

Nice to catch up with great friends.

Yup you're right Kev - Maz played Clay Brown - on the free cd too. Good to see you and your missus there Kev - been a while.

Glad you like Clay Brown Kev ,one of my fave male soul singers of all time .

I had four of his big tunes in my box at one time ,but only have one left now .

Think I'll put it on the next playlist :)
