I was there the day we found his unmarked grave in Detroit. No 539! The same number as the flight I got from new York to Detroit on that holiday, and the same number as my address in Hull when I first bought a Darrell Banks single (well it came in 100 soul singles from 'Soulscene/Telford).

Darrell Banks' OLIITP is and always will be my all time top soul record. It's a record I never get tired of hearing.  JJ Barnes a close second but the original is still the greatest.

Darrell for me, mentions of the flip brought a great rush. It was still a big nighter sound when I first started going and that rumbling out the speakers just blew me away and I still get that certain tingle whenever I listen to it.
