:hatsoff2: HI ALL,  KEEPING THE FAITH, WHAT DOES IT MEAN? WELL! THIS OLD FILM FROM 1956 RCA VICTOR, SHOULD EXPLAIN WHY I LOVE VINYL & DON'T PLAY CD, (EXCEPT IN THE CAR)

It is without a doubt the best film on record production I have come across, It's age also is meaningful as it is at the beginning of 45 rpm manufacture,

The film points out that the record should be a faithful reproduction of how it was intended to be heard, as so many rare soul records come from the 6ts, this is the same way they were made,

Authentic, & KEEPING THE FAITH warts & all, HOPE YOU ENJOY THIS, & SEE IT AS A PART OF THE SOULSOURCE RECORD CLUB,  DAVE KILWORTH

Okay, I think I need to come over here and keep myself out of trouble, can a newcomer join in?

This came on my random play, filed under beat ballad but actually that is unfair, enough tempo in here to sway your pants too, especially if they are as baggy at the bum as mines are, and cheap as chips. Shows just what a strong voice Benjamin had.; I used to buy anything by him and this is one of the best.

Just wanted to say guys what a great thread this is. I've heard so much that I have never even heard before, plus some I'd forgotten about!

My pick for today is from one of Zulema's albums - You changed on me. Very underrated singer and well worth checking out all her albums, as they have so much good stuff on them!

:hatsoff2:HI ALL After scanning UK MGM 45s yesterday & pasting them in the article MGM LABEL,

I SUPPOSE IT WAS INEVITABLE THAT I HAVE PICKED ONE OFF THEM TO PLAY!

HOWEVER MY PICK IS MY DISCOVERY, I HAVE POSTED THIS A FEW YEARS AGO,

YES IT'S FILM SCORE MUSIC, BUT THAT LATENT MOD ORGAN SOUND, THAT YOU GET IN THE GREAT "GET CARTER"  IS IN ABUNDANCE ON THIS ONE,

STILL UNKNOWN BY MANY & COULD STILL BE A COVER UP AT THE RIGHT NIGHT, SO ENJOY THIS,,

LALO SCHIFRENICE AFTER DARK MGM 1329 B UK COPY,

DAVE K

MY COPY

I'll tell you what, you boys have been busy., tried 3 other records but already up here. So think this is one that's not, one of my favourite at moment, and one that would have seen that stand still dance that was so popular in the 80's, a bit of a formulaic voice but that backing gives records like the Four Voices a run for their dime, and what a label, and I a big ending, just how I like it. Off to dig for one for tomorrow, Night Night!
