:hatsoff2: HI ALL....  I'M KEEPING WITH THE PILE OF SUE RECORDS, I HAVE TRIED TO PUT THEM BACK ON THE SHELF, BUT CAN'T STAY IN CONTROL, I MUST PLAY THEM ALL, HOWEVER I HAVE SELECTED THIS FEEL GOOD SOUND FROM 67 (YEAR I LEFT SCHOOL).

THIS SORT OF RECORD WAS HIP, WITH THOSE WHO MOVED INTO THE VAULTS OF OUR MUSIC, AND INTO THE ROOTS OF THE BLUES

ABOUT THIS TIME I LEARNT MY FIRST GUITAR CHORDS  A E G D & DISCOVERD THATS ALL YOU NEED TO PLAY HENDREDS OF TUNES.

TODAYS LATE PICK IS TONY MARTIN - "SNAKE IN THE GRASS" SUE 4041, 5 STAR CLASSIC :g: DAVE K

Not heard this before. All the same notes as Wade in the Water, but not necessarily in the same order. Like it though!

Don't know what you guys think of this. This is my copy up on Youtube. I think it must be Jimmy Wisner. Personally, I could see people dancing to it, but would they think it too jazzy.

These comments just prove how differently we listen to tunes? The piano isn't a major part of it for me it's the drum beat & the building of the horns to those great crescendos near the end that does it for me.Now you've pointed the piano out I see what you mean..........that's avant-garde jazz isn't it or maybe Les Dawson moonlighting

Cheers
