I'll follow Andy's lead with a couple of Ruby & The Romantics posts. As a lover of a girlie dancer I think they are so underrated.

Ruby & The Romantics-We Can Make It Kapp

Love those Ruby tracks, not heard "We can make it" before.

This is my favourite!

Do you know this Martyn, her (only?) other record....

Great one John .Brings back fond memories of Spiders Web , Edinburgh where this one was regularly played , filling the floor,  by resident Ray Parker.  ,

Would love a first issue, but only have a second on the palm tree design. Though that, at least, has Come On Home on the flip. One day, one day............

Recent acquision on 12" , 7" continues to elude ...

Nice post Andy. Saw you casting a net for the 7 - which would be my preference. Always prefer 7's to 12's - dunno why.

Not sure if this will appeal to everyone. It's a  70's track (my favourite genre) and on US Dakar also on UK Brunswick - I have the UK release and it's one of a very few British things I have as I always prefer US.

Turn the volume up for this one and feel the soul.

Anyway it's Eddie McLoyd -  Once You Fall In Love

My pick for today is a fantastic 70's soul record - absolutely love the vocals and lyrics on this. Have a listen to this - and turn up the volume.

Michelle Wiley - I Feel So At Home Here on 21st Century Records.

Wonderful.

Not my cup of tea Martyn but I suspect it ticks a few of your boxes. I reckon in the right room that would get some dance floor action too.

Can't argue with that Swifty old lad. But, due to some inherent hearing problems you had it down as a vocal of the Mashed Potato. :wicked:
