Two classics that immediately spring to my mind are The Empires - "You're on Top Girl' and The Delcos 'Arabia'. And does anybody know if the Empires of 'You're on Top' are in any way related to the earlier harmony group of the same name ? Guest in town Mikey Posted November 4, 2004 Share Posted November 4, 2004 I went to a Doo Wop night quite regularly about 10 years ago in Kentish Town, London. I would be the only guy there not dressed in best 50s regalia. They were a great bunch, and the music was top class, but they never had any record dealers, and the DJs would never want to part with any of their discs.
