Have you got a bigger cover scan - and any info you can give about how the subject's tackled? For example, is the book broken down by year, artists, musical styles, decades…?

Hi Russell,

Book covers the subject in chronological order, starting with its formation and finishing with the labels last release in 1970.

It is broken down into six  'chapters / sections' (see below) and i hope it covers all aspects of the development of soul music

starting with the blues and touching on everything in between.

(1) In the begining

(2) Pop, doo-wop and the birth of rythm and blues

(3) Rock and Roll is here to stay

(4) The Wilderness Years

(5) The golden age of Chicago soul

(6) Life after Carl

Jpeg below is the centre design from the cover. If anyone is interested i'd be happy to put the intro to the book on site.

Cheers

Gary

Thanks, Gary. Sounds like it should be a very good read. Can you let me know what the postage will be to the Netherlands, please?

I wonder if this is the best place for this. Might be worth asking Mike or one of the Mods if it would be better off somewhere it can get more exposure - just a thought...
