great film  . never went to the original wheel but went to lots of all nighters there including the last one. a truly legendary venue . i just wish pete roberts would stop taking every opportunity to have a go at the casino . enjoyed pete on the radio and at  numerous  gigs  but he likes to get a dig in at wigan .  why ?  whatever club you attended from whatever period of time holds a special place in your heart .  WHEEL , TORCH ,  CASINO , MECCA , CATACOMBS , RITZ.   MOJO   CLEETHORPES .  STAFFORD.   ROTHERHAM .   MORECAMBE .  100 CLUB. we all know the history of the scene . its well documented.  we all  know the fabulous records that came to be part of our folklore  that these venues,  and many others played .   each of the clubs playing its part in keeping the scene going to where it is today . for me its the music and the people that come first  with the venue slightly after that .

If you get to know Pete he is not Anti Casino although I admit it can appear that way

I am a Wiganer and see Pete  at various venues and there is always a bit of light hearted ribbing

Pete attended the premier of the Film at Blackburn a film which many consider to be based on Wigan
