Marlena Shaw Orange Label Cadet

I've got a copy of Marlena Shaw - Let's Wade In The Water on the orange Cadet label with the red ring around the edge and Cadet on the left hand side - I don't think I've ever seen one on this design before but must have seen a hundred on the blue label - any ideas of value, about the same - £50 or so?

USA Dave - they must have re-promoted it in the 70's?

Other side is "Show Time"

I think she did quite well on Blue Note after she left Chess. So maybe released to try to cash in on that? I have a 7 of Rotary Connection 'Magical World' somewhere, credited to Minnie Riperton that they brought out after she got a number 1 with 'Lovin You'..

RE ISSUE : For 5590 by the GRT RECORD GROUP

Quite difficult to find, not sure how many or which of the titles were released by GRT.

Not seen a GRT 5574 for instance.

I suspect that it is quite possible that the GRT Re-Issues are indeed rarer in any quantity than original copies.

Either way Marlena Shaw's Let's Wade In The Water would be welcome in my collection on any officially released label.

It's definitely worth picking up the Dutch release with a chance to obtain one of those wonderful Picture Covers.

I for one keep trying when funds allow. No luck so far :dash2:.

Always the same, Funds v's Opportunity v's size of current wants list. :D Oh for a lottery win.

Seize the moment if you're lucky enough to find a copy and it is the the right time for you and your funds..
