I seem to remember this being an oldie long before Wigan. Plus I can remember the Cleckheaton lads singing it's praises after a Saturday at the Torch. I seem to remember it being listed in VaVa adverts,so that pre-dates it for Wigan at least SteveSteve- It was in the Va Vas ads. See my response to Ian D. But that was after the Torch had closed. I met Richard in the late Summer of 73 at Va Vas and heard it then. When I reccomended him to Russ, the Casino hired him in the Autumn of 73. Shawn R was one of his plays. I was talking to an early Wigan Casino member the other day and he said it was played early days in Wigan before 1975!? in NME back in 1973 i think..Ian Levine lists SM as one of his top plays...
