Cecil Washington, I don't Like To Lose.

Or for a real oldie...... I defy anyone to give me a better intro than Major Lance, You Don't Wan't Me No More, don't care how many times you hear it, that intro is just unbeatable IMO.

I mean come on...........

I've out done my last post (Ketty Lester) for the shortest intro but so recognisable with Mike Vikers-On The Brink...........a twang of guitar & you just know what's coming WHAOOOOOO!!!!

Shortest intro Martyn? Ketty has to be the shortest in it's entirety.... what, 1 min 45 is it, i know of none shorter.

Then again, someone knows one shorter :)

A really good intro is one that "Just as you thought you were out!" had danced enough and are heading off to sit down,it pulls you back in "0n to the dance floor", "Away from conversations",and back in from outside where youve been having a fag and a verbal!.

I've always loved the start to this. First heard it about 50 years ago! My cousin had taped it on his reel to reel tape recorder that he'd just had for xmas and was raving about 'this great record'

A local boxer ex British Champion Johnny Prescott had it played at his funeral a couple of years ago. I thought it was so apt. Ade
