Pete S Posted January 3, 2015 Share Posted January 3, 2015 NORTHERN SOUL FREESTYLE Well after a month of nothing but “Wigan” based podcasts, I took this opportunity to go freestyle, not really sure what that actually means but basically I just played anything I wanted to with no theme or running order. I also kept the Wigan stuff to a minimum so most (but not all) records on here are either sleepers, or where big AFTER Wigan closed, so anyone who thinks Northern Soul died in 1981, I hope this will convince you otherwise. I think the last 30 minutes are so is one of the best podcasts I’ve ever done. But I’d had about 5 pints and 3 cans by then, so I would do!
