Guest ManOfMystery
Hello - another plea to help my pension-age memory. I seem to recall that in the very late 1960s I had a promo single of a version of Don Covay's 'Sookie Sookie'. I can't remember who recorded it, I just have this recollection of a white label with a big, green 'A' on it (but I had several records like that, so that could be a false memory). The usual trawl through YouTube didn't help; it didn't seem to be Davy Jones, or Don Covay himself, or anyone else I could find (and of course it wasn't Steppenwolf!). The maddening thing is that I'll remember the actual recording as soon as I hear it - my memory's like that! Does anyone else happen to have any suggestions as to who else recorded the track? Thanks.
