Just posted this in the Just Arrived thread, but have some questions.

The Charles Perry "Move on Love" / Jennell Hawkins "Moments to Remember"

The disc, is a re-issue according to JM website (I have just found out), hands up bought it blind, and the Charles Perry side is great record (which is also on Mutt n Jeff Records)

Now to me it looks like a very poor quality USA re-issue or local bootleg on on Good Old Gold records.

Can anyone throw any light on this disc and how it came to be?

The label offers no clues!

Charles Perry's "Move On Love" was first released on Magnum Records, and picked up (leased) for national distribution by MGM Records.  Originally produced by Joe Jefferson, it was later released as an oldie (a couple years later on Jefferson's own Mutt & Jeff Records.

Good Old Gold was cheaply made (poor quality) oldies label.  I'm not sure whether or not they even paid for the rights to issue those recordings, they certainly don't sound like they were made from the master tapes.
