Father’s Children “Intellect / Linda” (Arrest) strong VG+/VG £250
This sophisticated ‘70s funk / modern release from DC has great lyrics, sounds strong in a club thanks to first-rate production, and doesn’t surface terribly often. The flip is a gorgeous sweet ballad (a few tics on that side hence VG grade, but still plays ok).

Eddie Jackson “Memories Of A Dream” (Brewtown) strong EX £200
Uptempo funky soul from Milwaukee getting deserved current spins.

Cohesion Band “Expense / Cohesion” (Cohesion) EX £125
Steadfast ‘70s funk / modern soul aimed squarely at the club, culminating in a rattling great b-boy break (which I faded up towards the end of the clip). The half-decent flip is in a similar bag.

Billy Wells’ Outer Realm “Lotsa Papa / Pt.2” (Karen) strong VG+ £175
Nice, well produced ’70s dancer that should have broad club appeal. The flip is an instrumental version (A side has x’s on label).

Superfly Bros. “Another Star” (S.F.B.) strong EX £75
Obscure islands mover on a rare self-release, covering the Stevie Wonder song to great effect with seductive minor key horns leading the way. Close to M-
