Good Vibrations Bbc2 Tonight

Recommended Posts

Hi there

Just want to give a heads up in case you have not seen it. If your out dancing worth setting the record button for BBC 22.30.

Not a punk and not from Belfast myself (even though I live here now) but for me one of the best films I've seen the last couple of years.

cheers  Olof

You have been here long enough to get citizenship now whether you like it or not   :wicked:

And I could have sworn I spied a copy of the Cockney Rejects greatest hits hid behind the Magnificent Men LP .

All joking aside this is a great feel good movie well worth watching , it tells the story of Terry Hooley who is one of Belfast's real characters .

Really enjoyed watching this. Summed up what I always thought at the time, Undertones were the most original band 1976 onwards to come out of Ireland, and U2 just got lucky !

We were putting on a Terri Hooley night here in Brum with the Man himself DJing for us but he's been very poorly since Christmas. Now on the road to recovery and out of hospital, we will still be putting on the night at some point during the year and all depending on Terri's health.

Will give the heads up if anyone is interested nearer the time.

I  actually bought  a Robert Johnson, vinyl - re-issue from Good vibrations back in the 90's

The original Good Vibrations store had some great records , not much soul but some really interesting (and rare stuff)

Terri used to sell 10 singles for £1 if you had the patience you could find some crackers .
