Citizen P
If I heard correctly, it'll start at 10.00 pm. Surely most of the Target Audience will be out... Personally think Sunday Dinnertime (that's Lunchtime to Suvvernas) was best. 1 Link to comment Social source share
dedji1955
The last few shows Richard has done on BBC Radio Manchester have been excellant I guess only a fraction of the folks who enjoy the music get out n about and like his previous shows they will be on playback... https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p02n708l Link to comment Social source share
Chas
Amazing how things change isn't it? Not long ago it seemed that specialist radio shows were no longer viable due to low response to advertising, putting the podcast at the forefront of specialist programming.A welcome return this is, albeit in the"graveyard"slot. 1 Link to comment Social source share
John Everard
Great to see Richard getting back into mainstream radio. I've been an admirer of his radio stuff ever since he did Soul Sauce on Radio Hallam in the late 1970's, he always provides good informative shows. 3 Link to comment Social source share
Monkey
Excellent news. At last BBC weekly soul show hosted by someone who actually knows what he's talking about. Radio Leeds/Sheffield is just about unlistenable such is the cheese factor. Shame its seems a bit oldies top heavy, still good listening and as noted above informative as always. 1 Link to comment Social source share
Joprinsen
I still remember listening to his Cellar Full of Soul (must be nearly 25 years ago now) when I lived up there. Good news. Link to comment Social source share
The Happy Hooker
An excellent Northern Soul radio show worth listening to is on Tuesdays 6:00 to 8:00pm here: https://www.allstarfm.co.uk/# hosted by the inimitable Steve Luigi, who plays some very good unreleased tracks and lets the music do the talking. Give it a listen Link to comment Social source share
