Sunnysoul
Looking for some bio information on Kenny Carlton who recorded "Lost and Found" on Blue Rock. There doesn't appear to be any information on him. Was Kenny Carlton a pseudonym? Was his Blue Rock release his only recording? Any information would be appreciated. Many thanks Link to comment Social source share
Sunnysoul
The notes in the Goldmine CD "Lost & Found" speculate as to whether Kenny Carlton was in fact Kenny Carter who recorded for RCA. Anyone? Link to comment Social source share
Robbk
I've played "Lost and Found" and "Gotta Get Myself Together" back-to-back many times, and the voices sound very very much like the same person. I'd guess that Kenny Carlton is Kenny Carter. Link to comment Social source share

Ady Croasdell
Sorry I totally disagree. I've got an unreleased LP by Kenny Carter and play it regularly along with his released tracks before and after and on neither of the Blue Rock sides does he have any of Kenny's many vocal inflexions. Sunnysoul
Any info on Kenny Carlton himself, Ady ? Link to comment Social source share
Ady Croasdell
He was from Kent, Ohio ironically. I put a fair bit about his RCA sessions in the Larry Banks Story CD and Dave Godin wrote a bit about him in his first Deep Soul Treasures Link to comment Social source share

Robbk
Real name Kenneth Head You're talking about Kenny Carter here, rather than Kenny Carlton, right? Link to comment Social source share
Ady Croasdell
Sorry, yes Ohio and Kenneth Head are Kenny Carter and we don't know anything about Kenny Carlton. Thanks Robb Link to comment Social source share
