voidarelli 1 Posted June 1, 2015 Hey, I came across a multi-colored wax version of Life - Tell Me Why on Reprise. It's a demo copy. Is this some sort of custom or unauthorized job at the pressing plant? I can't find any info about it and wondering if it's legitimate. Thanks for any info! -Tim
Benji 828 Posted June 2, 2015 Probably just a multi coloured variety of the pressing. But still looks great!
John Reed 802 Posted June 2, 2015 Is it Mono/Mono or Mono/Stereo?

TailorMade Gaz B 316 Posted June 2, 2015 Very nice - looks a bit like the multi-coloured Sam Fletcher, but tidier...The colours of the SF's don't bleed together
voidarelli 1 Posted June 2, 2015 Thanks, guys! John Reed - It's mono/mono.
John Reed 802 Posted June 2, 2015 Not to put a downer on things, but real w/demos are mono/stereo whereas the w/demo boots are mono/mono
voidarelli 1 Posted June 2, 2015 So, this can be assumed to be a boot? Also, forgive me but I don't know who Bob Catteneo is??

Labeat 750 Posted June 3, 2015 Boot..... but one of the rarest out there A rare Boot? That's a new description to me Dave, is there a market for such?
Sean Hampsey 1,110 Posted June 3, 2015 So, this can be assumed to be a boot? Also, forgive me but I don't know who Bob Catteneo is?? 'Daly City' Bob used to press up indemand Nothern Soul records in the 1970's and every now in then he'd throw in a coloured 'special' into the pack. If this is one of those (which is very likely, being mono/mono) it's a bootleg, but obviously a pretty rare one. Sean Sean

spot 1,119 Posted June 5, 2015 (edited) So, this can be assumed to be a boot? Also, forgive me but I don't know who Bob Catteneo is?? An early days dealer, I started dealing with him in 73 & had some top tunes from him, he always did me proud. First dealings I had with him was a Frank Ifield album I bought for £1 , I swapped him it for a 200 mixed box, which had the 2nd known copy of Danny Monday in & many others, made over a £1000 from it & swaps with Soul Sam, I've written about before on here in detail. Bob went on to do boots also but he wasn't the only name doing so. Spot. Edited June 5, 2015 by spot
