A Question For The Golfers On Here

Recommended Posts

I always thought that "links" golf courses were all on the coast.

But I have seen a reference to an "inland links" course.

Can anyone explain what an "inland links" course is please. :)

Thanks. Some interesting reading on that web page.

It seems that the definition of Links is now a bit wider than it was originally. But I am sure when I have watched golf on the tele they only say Links when it is a course next to the coast.

Better call it a day there before my brain turns to mush! :D

some links courses have holes that are more inland , & play more like a regular course, if that makes any sense
