vinyl shops on your doorstep - Shrewsbury

Recommended Posts

not really on my doorstep

but may make a good start point for an interesting set of topics

vinyl shop in your area - news and views

kick off here's one featured in local to Shrewsbury paper

http://www.shropshirestar.com/shropshire-business/2015/08/31/shropshire-vinyl-heaven-for-all-music-tastes/

“Just because people haven’t heard music doesn’t mean it’s not any good. I don’t stock rubbish. I had a guy come in the other day and he said: ‘Mate, it’s almost as though you’re curating a collection, rather than running a shop.’ It’s a bit like that, I suppose. If it’s good, it’s in.”

Andy opened his record shop on Shrewsbury’s Wyle Cop less than two months ago. He’d previously run a shop at Birmingham’s Custard Factory, in Digbeth. But why on earth Shrewsbury, when there are bigger cities nearby like Wolverhampton and Birmingham.

only a couple of months open, any one been, was aware, views etc ?

or if any on your very own doorstep then how about starting a new topic, pass on views and words, as spreading awareness has got to be a good thing yep?

Walked past it the other day and it had mainly books in the window. Didn't go in as I was pushed for time. There are a couple of other places in Shrewsbury that sell vinyl - one in the Parade Shopping Centre (the old hospital building) and one in the Market. There's also an Oxfam shop that specialises in vinyl, cds,and books.
