last deep coalmine in uk closed

sad day for the miners and for the country , Kellingley Colliery closed today ,

spent a bit of time contracting underground there , some good lads have lost their jobs today.

wishing them all the best for the future ,

With you all the way. How ironic that the cheap imported coal will go past Kellingley on the way to the power stations. Sad day indeed.

I read a report that said if the burning of coal stopped, like right now, we would reach our CO2 environmental requirements. Even replacing coal with gas and/or oil would get us there.

But it would do nothing to stop climate change, which has absolutely nothing to do with us burning fossil fuels.

If we are still using coal then we should certainly be using OUR own!

I agree we should be cleaner in our emissions and use less of everything but the "Green" scam is just another tax stick to beat us with.

We are constantly brainwashed into that way of thinking.......funnily enough, you seem to find that those who scream the loudest more than often have a vested interest in this 'Climate Change' scam, an interest that always seems to revolve around money.
