Pete S
Anyone remember this record, very uptempo dancer - The Memphis Nomads - Don't Pass Your Judgement - Stax 243. Remember getting it on a tape in the late 80's never seen one for sale, just wondered if anyone knew the value. Curious thing about it, under the Stax logo it says "Distributed by the Memphgis and Shelby County Chapter of the March of Dimes" so was wondering if it was some kind of limited charity record?? Belting dancer though. Link to comment Social source share

Pete S
Yeah spose you're right, in a Soul Set sort of way, I didn't read the label properly, it's definitely a charity disc, well it could be of interest to a Stax collector maybe... jazzyjas
If my memory serves me correctly, i believe this was a giveaway record promoting literacy or something. Stax also had an LP that was called "Don't Drop Out" that has the famous marquee photo at night. This track may also be included on that LP. As far as I know, it goes for around $40. Maybe more these days. I like the song personally, but wouldn't play it at a soul event. If you like the Stax sound, pick it up, though.
