Guest
I travelled up to most of these nighters at Shotts, the records played were great. Colin Law always played a top selection, certainly got things moving! Listening to this brings it all back! All the dj's had great collections and I always learned some excellent new records. A lot of people travelled up from England, Guy Hennigan, Pete Lawson etc. There was often a coach up from the South. jam66
Another Astor's moment. This came up on my feed earlier from the Daily Record reviewing Stuat Cosgrove's latest book. https://www.dailyrecord.co.uk/whats-on/music-nightlife-news/motor-city-miners-club-shotts-7774291 includes a good image. They almost all sound massively pitched up - Phil Orsi, Ron Baxter, Jo An Courcy, Little Stanley, Frank Foster - unless the whole recording runs fast? Great listen though, thanks Chalky Link to comment Social source share
